1. Scope and applicable agreements
These Terms govern your use of Leaf Player and this website, provided by Xiaochen Cui (“we”, “us”). By using them, you agree to these Terms to the extent a valid agreement can be formed under applicable law. If you do not agree, discontinue use.
The license for the app is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“EULA”), unless a different applicable license is expressly supplied with your purchase. Apple’s applicable store and payment terms also apply. These Terms supplement those agreements; they do not override mandatory law, the applicable app license, or specific commitments made in your purchase offer.
2. Your media and use of the app
Leaf Player plays media you provide or access through services you choose. It does not supply a media catalog or grant rights to third-party content. You retain your rights in your media and are responsible for having the permissions needed to access and use it.
You must use the app lawfully, comply with the terms of your source providers, and avoid unauthorized access, interference with services, circumvention of access controls, or infringement of others’ rights. Your license to the software does not include a right to redistribute the software or third-party content, except as expressly allowed by the applicable license or law.
3. Features, compatibility, and product changes
Leaf Player is an evolving product. We may add, redesign, replace, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, integrations, supported formats, operating-system versions, or distribution in particular regions. We may also change free-tier limits, plan structure, eligibility, and which features are included in free or paid offerings. Changes may be needed for product development, operating costs, technical constraints, legal requirements, or changes made by Apple or other providers.
A feature being available free of charge does not, by itself, promise that it will remain free indefinitely. A purchase does not promise every future feature, separate product, upgrade, or integration unless the purchase offer expressly includes it. Screenshots, demonstrations, and general product descriptions illustrate functionality; compatibility can vary by app version, device, file, account, and provider. Specific descriptions and commitments applicable to your purchase remain binding to the extent required by law.
Changes apply subject to your existing purchase terms and mandatory consumer rights. Where required, we will give notice before a material adverse change to a paid offering and provide any legally required opportunity to cancel or other remedy. Urgent changes needed to address a legal requirement, service withdrawal, or serious technical issue may take effect sooner. These Terms do not authorize us to remove a benefit already promised for a paid period without honoring the obligations attached to that purchase.
4. Prices, offers, and future purchases
Prices, billing periods, introductory offers, trials, and included features are shown in the applicable purchase flow. That offer and Apple’s confirmation govern the transaction. Prices may vary by country or region, currency, tax, and offer eligibility.
We may change prices for future purchases, introduce paid features, revise plans, or end promotions. A past price does not guarantee the price of a later purchase or renewal unless we expressly made that commitment. Price changes do not retroactively change an amount already charged. Future paid products or additional purchases require the authorization applicable to that purchase; installing an update alone does not authorize an additional charge.
5. Subscription renewal and price changes
Auto-renewable subscriptions renew through Apple unless canceled under the timing shown in Apple’s subscription management flow. Charges are made to your Apple Account according to Apple’s terms. A trial or introductory offer may convert to the disclosed paid subscription unless canceled in time.
We may change subscription prices for future renewal periods. Apple’s applicable notice and consent procedures, together with local law, govern how a change applies to an existing subscription. Where consent is required and is not given, the subscription may expire rather than renew at the new price. These Terms are not advance consent to every future price increase.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple’s account settings. Deleting Leaf Player, disconnecting a source, or ceasing to use the app does not cancel billing. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period, subject to Apple’s terms, a refund, or other applicable adjustment. See Apple’s subscription cancellation instructions.
6. Entitlements, cancellation, and refunds
Paid access depends on a valid entitlement recognized by Apple’s purchase system. Refunds, revocations, expiration, billing issues, or account changes may affect it. Purchase restoration and verification may require the relevant Apple Account and a network connection.
Under the current Leaf Pro access rules, remote resources added while an entitlement was active remain usable after it becomes inactive; entitlement loss alone does not hide, lock, disable, or delete those existing resources. New paid-scope operations follow the applicable free-tier and entitlement rules. This does not guarantee continued availability of a remote service or grant every future paid operation.
App Store refund requests are handled through Apple’s process, including Report a Problem. A price reduction, unused feature, or change of preference does not by itself create an additional refund promise from us. Nothing here limits refunds or other remedies required by law or available under Apple’s terms.
7. Third-party sources and service interruptions
Cloud providers, media servers, network shares, Apple services, codecs, and other third-party components are outside our complete control. Their availability, permissions, APIs, limits, pricing, and compatibility may change or end. We cannot guarantee support for every file, server configuration, account type, network, or future version of another service. Third-party fees are your responsibility.
We may change or withdraw an affected integration when continued operation is impractical or unavailable, subject to the protections for paid purchases described above. Source names and trademarks identify compatibility and do not imply an endorsement or partnership.
8. Your copies and local data
Keep independent copies of media and information you need. Leaf Player’s caches, downloads, and playback records are not a backup service. Access to a source can be lost when credentials, permissions, accounts, servers, files, or network conditions change. Removing local content or uninstalling the app may remove data from your device.
Remote file connections are read-only; disconnecting a source does not delete the provider’s original files. Information processing is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Updates, support, and discontinuation
We do not promise a particular release schedule, support response time, or indefinite maintenance of every app version, device, feature, or integration unless expressly stated in a binding offer. Updates may be necessary for continued compatibility. We may discontinue the app or an offering, with notice and any refund or other remedy required by applicable law and existing purchase commitments. A roadmap, preview, or discussion of a possible feature is not a commitment to deliver it.
10. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law and consistent with the EULA, the app and website are supplied on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, complete compatibility, or that every issue will be corrected. The warranty exclusions and liability limits in the applicable EULA govern the app.
To the extent legally permitted, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses caused by third-party service failures, unavailable sources, or your unauthorized use. These exclusions do not remove rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees, liability for fraud, or other mandatory protections. Where local law requires a remedy, that law controls.
11. Ending use and enforcing these Terms
You may stop using the app at any time and separately cancel any subscription through Apple. We may take proportionate steps permitted by the EULA and applicable law to address material misuse or a legal requirement. Ending an app license does not by itself cancel an Apple subscription or extinguish accrued rights and obligations. Sections concerning ownership, payments already due, liability, and disputes continue as applicable after use ends.
12. Changes to these Terms and contact
We may revise these Terms and will update the date above. Material changes will receive notice, and consent will be requested, where required by applicable law or the relevant agreement. Continued use counts as acceptance only where legally effective. Updated Terms do not retroactively remove accrued claims, mandatory rights, or binding purchase commitments.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive it.
